forceperunit
Forceperunit (force per unit) is a collaborative artist team founded by Timothy McMurray and Jacqueline Weaver in March 2012. We seek projects that examine contextual relationships, particularly those that reconsider and repurpose public space, using a minimalist approach that employs light, geometry, video, and installation. We are interested in working with a wide variety of people from across disciplinary fields to develop work that engages the public in the discussion of contemporary art and society.

forceperunit team :
Jacqueline Weaver is an artist, educator and curator living in Chicago. Her current interdisciplinary work focuses on art as a collaborative and participatory endeavor. Jacqueline’s work addresses the culture’s interpretation of histories–personal and universal, recent and long past. Her ongoing work The Border Projects has received funding through the New York State Council on the Arts for public engagement to facilitate dialogue around the complexity of border issues. She currently teaches at the College of DuPage.
Timothy McMurray is a multidisciplinary artist and art educator living and working in Brooklyn, NY. His work uses seriality and minimalist formal concerns to question the nature of origin stories and how those stories address social and personal narratives. McMurray’s work also looks at the relationships between the concept of authenticity, new technology and our expanding means of social connectivity.
Michael Cunningham is a mixed media and digital artist whose work addresses the effects of spatial and spiritual displacement, disillusionment and "the problem of good and evil". Originally from the west coast, he now works and resides in Chicago. His work has recently been shown at Art Basel in Miami and Fountain New York. Michael has been working with forceperunit since August 2012.
We work with other artists and professionals on a project-to-project basis and are grateful to fellow collaborators for enriching our experiences and work..
